Cheese Sauce (to be used with crepe recipe)

Great cheese sauce to use with crepes.

Ingredients

  • 2 T butter
  • 1⁄4 t salt
  • 1⁄4 t dry mustard
  • 1⁄2 c thrive cheddar chese
  • 1 c thrive spinach
  • 1⁄2 c thrive mushrooms
  • 2 T unsifted flour
  • 1⁄8 t pepper
  • 1 1⁄4 c thrive instant milk

Instructions

For cheese sauce, heat butter just until melted; remove from heat. Add
flour, salt, pepper and mustard. Stir until smooth with wooden spoon. Add
milk, slowly, stirring constantly 1 minute. Add cheese and stir over low
heat. Assemble crepes. I put a spoon full of spinach & mushroom in center
of crepe and then added a couple of spoonfuls of cheese sauce over the
spinach & mushrooms and then rolled up crepes.

Notes

I also used the THRIVE freeze-dried HAM & THRIVE broccoli
(reconstitute) in the crepes with the cheese sauce. BOTH were very good!

For the Fruit Crepe filling: I used the THRIVE blueberries and strawberries
(reconstitute) and added a little strawberry yogurt with the fruit. Then top
with Cool Whip.
