Green Chili Salsa
Super easy no sodium Salsa
- 1 t lime juice (optional)
- 2 ds chipotle powder (optional)
- 1⁄3 c thrive green chili peppers
- 1⁄3 c thrive chopped onions
- 1 c thrive tomato dices
Combine Green Chili Peppers, Chopped Onions and Tomato Dices in a bowl. Add just enough water to rehydrate without being too juicy. Approx 1-2 cups water. (If you like it a bit chewy, add less water.) Let sit for 5-15 min. until rehydrated. Get out the chips and enjoy! If you have the time, it is best if you refrigerate for a couple of hours prior to serving.
Option A: If you like a lime flavor add a teaspoon of lime juice. In the grocery stores there are packets of crystallized lime juice that's a great food storage item to use for this.
Option B: If you like a smokey flavor with the a zip, add a dash or 2 of Chipotle Powder.
Option C: (My favorite!) Combine both option A & B.
This was a winner on the first try! Great with just chips, but works on just about anything!
