What is the social media dashboard?
This is a new social media tool we’ll be providing that, if you authorize it, will automatically post to your Facebook /Twitter account for you.  These will be professionally created posts that will link back to your consultant website and will drive website traffic.

 

What is the difference between using this tool and reposting the posts from the Thrive Life corporate Facebook page?
The benefit of the social media dashboard is that it posts to your Facebook/Twitter page with links to your website. Unlike the corporate Facebook page, the dashboard uses a mix of general posts and posts specific to Thrive Life that is designed to interest your potential customers without intimidating them with too many sales posts. You can still feel free to share posts from the corporate page in addition to the posts on your dashboard if you would like a greater variety of Thrive Life posts.

 

How do I activate my dashboard?
Watch a tutorial on setting up and using your dashboard here. Log into My Office and select My Website in the dropdown menu underneath your name in the upper righthand corner. Underneath the info about your website, change the Social Dashboard option to Yes and click Update to save. Once you have done this, select Social Dashboard from the Tools menu. This option will only appear if you have an active consultant website (learn how to set one up here). You will then need to authorize the social media accounts you would like the dashboard to post to by signing in to those accounts. Once you have signed in and authorized the account, the dashboard will post a test post on that account in order to establish a connection. Once you have authorized the desired account(s), the dashboard can automatically post to your page.

 

Will my dashboard stay permanantly authorized once I activate it?
No, you will need to reauthorize your dashboard every 60 days, due to Twitter and Facebook regulations. You should receive an email when you need to reauthorize your account. To reauthorize your accounts, simply select Social Dashboard from the Tools menu and authorize your platforms again. You also may be asked to reauthorize if your change your account settings on your platform (change passwords, etc.)

 

Is there a fee to use this tool?
There is a $3.99 monthly fee associated with using the dashboard. This fee will be charged at the same as your consultant website fee each month. New consultants receive 1 month free on their social dashboard as well as their consultant website upon enrollment.

 

How do I deactivate my dashboard if I no longer want to pay the fee?
Select My Website from the dropdown menu underneath your name in the upper righthand corner of My Office. Change the Social Dashboard option to No and click Update to save. Once you have done this, you will no longer see Social Dashboard as an option in the Tools menu, and your dashboard will be deactivated.

 

What if I want to authorize the dashboard for a business page instead of a personal account?
The dashboard is automatically set up to use a personal account. If you would like it to post to a business page, that will need to be set up by an administrator. Please call 1-800-794-8158 to have a representative set up the dashboard to post to a business page.

 

How do I set up my posts?
Choose your posts by going to the Manual Posts tab and clicking on the icon in the bottom left corner of any post. From here you can customize the text and schedule the post. All posts will link back to your consultant website. Go to the My Posts tab to see all your scheduled posts.

 

Can I still post directly from my Twitter/Facebook page in addition to the posts from the dashboard?
Yes, you can still post at any time directly from your Facebook/Twitter page.

 

How do I post to Pinterest?
PInterest posts cannot be automated and must be sent manually from the Manual Posts tab. When you click the bottom left corner of any post, you can select the Pinterest icon to manually schedule the post for Pinterest.

 

Can I access the dashboard on my smartphone?
Yes, the dashboard is mobile friendly and can be accessed from smartphones.

 

What are the requirements for using this tool?
You must have an active consultant website in order to use this tool, since it will link to your website (learn how to set one up here). You must also have a Twitter or Facebook account that the dashboard can post to (it can be either a personal page or a business page).

 

Can I have more than one Facebook account that the dashboard posts to?
Yes, if you have multiple Facebook accounts, you can create multiple dashboard logins (as long as each Facebook account is associated with a different email). However, each separate login will be charged the fee after the first 90 days.
