This FIRST POST is not a self serving one, but instead is a tip to help you better organize your Personal Pantry, your Stash, your Home Store or whatever you call the food and gear you have set aside for a bad day.
My recommendation for a cool organizational tool is the Prep & Pantry App - Ittp://www.prepandpantry.com/ I have been laboriously trying to maintain a running excel spreadsheet of our "Pantry" and found the Prep & Pantry Application at the Apple Store. My kids and I were able to quickly scan our entire inventory in an afternoon, assign items to their individual storage locations, enter expiration dates, and set up a minimum quantity monitoring system so if we use something it automatically gets added to the shopping list.
Yesterday a new shipment of supplies came in and in a matter of minutes I had scanned everything in, assigned it a location, and stashed it away... I even impressed my wife!
There are a few things I would like added to the application so I contacted the developer and found out that the ideas I had were the very things he was already working on for the next upgrade... Yesterday a fresh order came in adn in minutes I had impressed my wife with how fast I had it entered and organized.
There are a few features I would like to see added and when I contacted the applications writer I discovered that he is already hard at work trying to develope those features. Counting the kids that is a total of 8 thumbs up!
