Garden Penne Pasta Alfredo

  1. Cook pasta to desired doneness as instructed on can. Drain and slightly cool; set aside.
  2. In a large saute pan sweat the garlic, butter, and onions until lightly brown.
  3. Add white wine and reduce by 3/4 or until syrupy and rich.
  4. Add mushrooms, tomatoes, asparagus, and herbs and toss together to coat with wine reduction.
  5. Add water and bring to a simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Add Chef's Choice and Parmesan. Stir and simmer another 1-2 minutes.
  7. Add cream, then bechamel; stir well to incorporate.
  8. Add pasta and toss together. Bring back to a simmer and finish with lemon juice and remaining butter; stir well to incorporate.
