Vanilla Pudding

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, heat milk powder and water together until it begins to steam.
  2. In a bowl combine sugar, cornstarch, salt, and vanilla powder.
  3. Pour cornstarch mixture into milk a little at a time while constantly stirring.
  4. Continue to cook and stir until mixture thickens enough to coat the back of a metal spoon. Do not allow mixture to come to a boil!
  5. Remove from heat and finish with caramel sauce and butter.
  6. Chill before serving.
