This recipe is a bit unclear and that's why I only gave it three stars. There is a measurement for water at the bottom of 2+ cups but if you add all of this to the actual sauce, it is very watery . If you assume the water is for the pasta and if you only add a half cup tomato sauce it's not thick enough. I ended up adding about a cup of water to the sauce and then some canned tomato Purée to make it thick enough.

Very good sauce. Instead of celery I used Thrive red and green peppers and a few Thrive mushrooms I had. I ran out of grated cheese but it was still delicious and hubby and kids enjoyed. I also used an imported organic rigatoni instead of the penne. Will make again soon.

This is one of my favorite recipes to make. It's a nice variation to the tomato sauce pasta dishes, rather than making Spaghetti all the time. My daughter is picky and picks all the carrots out but will eat the rest.

I've made this several times now and every time, I end up sneaking more sauce after the meal is over and no one's looking--even if the pasta is gone! It's hearty, thick, rich and loaded with flavor! It's easy to put together and very fast, too. Perfect for a last-minute dinner or having company over. Jar sauce "ain't got nothin'" on this recipe!

LOVE this recipe. One of our go to meals in a pinch. Never had anyone NOT like it. I love how the freeze dried meat is so flavorful and I actually use less meat than I used to! I have it memorized and it is easy to adjust and change to what you have on hand. Such a great comfort food as well!

My 9 year old chose this for dinner, we all loved it. I did change the wine for some of the FD grapes that I blended into a powder and then added water to, it gave it the sweetness of wine without the wine! We will be making this again!!!

This is surprisingly good. I will probably try it without carrots since we're not huge carrot fans. Really rich flavor! Sort of spoils you for normal spaghetti sauce.

I love trying to trick my husband and having him guess if my dishes are THRIVE-a-lized or not. This is one dish, where he could not tell it was mostly thrive and he now asked for it on a regular basis. This one is awesome!

Our Family LOVES this recipe. So much flavor. We have even used it as a warm dip if you can believe that. We make some of the Thrive Country White Bread and dip it in this warm yummy sauce. So good.
