If you don't want them in bars, you can still bake them as regular cookies. These are such a tasty treat, and perfect for holiday gifts whether you give them in the jar ready-to-make or baked and ready-to-eat! (Orchard Apple is the dry apple drink mix in the beverage section of the website)

To assemble the cookie jar

  1. Layer ingredients in the order listed into a clean, dry quart jar. Tamp down very well after adding the nuts and after chips. This recipe fits best in a wide-mouth quart jar.

To make the cookie bars

  1. Pour contents of jar into large bowl and stir to combine.
  2. Stir in ¾ cup butter, softened, and ¼ cup water until combined. Add a little more water if dough is too dry.
  3. Pat dough into greased 9” square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
