My family loves this stuffing/dressing but when I realized I could make it easier with Thrive (and prep most of it in advance)....well, that's when this mom really fell in love with it! Make sure you use a good, sturdy sourdough; sandwich slices will usually be too soft for this so I like to use an artisan-type loaf from the bakery. Serve with gravy.

  1. Bake the bread cubes in a single layer on a baking sheet for 7 minutes at 300 degrees. Remove from oven into a large bowl. Raise oven temp to 350 degrees.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter. Add remaining ingredients minus the stock, and stir well in the butter. Add 2 1/2 to 3 cups of water to refresh all the ingredients. Simmer for 10 minutes. Pour over the bread cubes.
  3. Pour the chicken stock over the bread cubes. Toss to combine everything. Dump it all into a greased 9x13 pan. Bake for 30 minutes or until bread starts to turn golden brown on top and the middle is heated through.
