Hearty comfort food for cold winter days. Perfect to have on hand as a meal in a jar. ( MIJ ). Use a pint jar for four servings.

  1. Layer in pint jar beginning with bouillon.
  2. Fix jar lid and label.
  3. For soup, dump contents of jar into 5 cups water.
  4. Bring to a boil then gently simmer 15-20 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and let sit covered another 10-15 minutes.
  6. Serve.


  1. I’m all about vegetables, so once I remove from heat I’ll often add a scoop of FD Spinach or Kale.
