  1. Combine all ingredients except cornmeal, rice, and sour cream in a 2-quart saucepan and bring to a simmer for 5 minutes.
  2. Stir in cornmeal slowly to incorporate evenly and avoid lumps. Cook for 3 minutes.
  3. Stir in rice and simmer for 3 more minutes. Let stand for five minutes covered.
  4. Stir in sour cream to finish. Serve after incorporated.

Yield: 4 cups
