Ingredients

  • 3 c. THRIVE Granny Smith Apple Slices - Freeze Dried rehydrated in 1 cup water
  • 1/3 c. Cranberries - Freeze Dried rehydrated
  • 1 tbsp. Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 4 tsp. Maple Syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. Ground Nutmeg
  • 7 tbsp. THRIVE Butter Powder rehydrated
  • 1/2 c. Quick Oats
  • 1/3 c. pecans, chopped
  • 6 tbsp. White Flour (All Purpose Unbleached Flour)
  • 6 tbsp. Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. Iodized Salt

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly coat a 9 inch tart or baking pan with shortening.
  2. Mix rehydrated apples and cranberries together in a mixing bowl. Combine with maple syrup, lemon juice, and nutmeg. Melt 2 Tbl. butter and toss with apple mix till coated.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix oats, pecans, flour, brown sugar, and salt. Blend the remaining 5 Tbl. of softened butter into the oat mix with a fork until pea sized.
  4. Pour apples in baking dish and top with even layer of crumb mix.
  5. Bake 45-50 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is golden brown. Let cool for 15-20 minutes and serve with whipped topping, if desired.
