Cheddar Cheese Chowder

A lovely cheesy chowder that can easily be made ahead of time as a MIJ.

Ingredients
- 2 c. THRIVE Potato Chunks or THRIVE Potato Dices FD
- 1/2 c. THRIVE Carrot Dices
- 1 c. THRIVE Celery - FD
- 1 tsp. Sea Salt
- 1/2 tsp. Black Pepper
- 1 c. THRIVE Béchamel (Creamy White Sauce)
- 2 c. THRIVE Shredded Cheddar Cheese - FD
- 1 c. Ham Dices - FD
- 3 tsp. THRIVE Cheese Sauce
Directions
- Layer these dry ingredients into a 1/2 gallon (64 oz) canning jar. Vacuum seal or use an oxygen absorber if you plan to store for a few months. When ready to make, add contents of jar to 8 cups of water, bring to a boil, and then simmer until the cheese is melted and the food is all reconstituted and tender. Unseal the ham Thrive Life can right before using it and if vacuum sealing the jars be sure to seal them right away to maintain it's quality.
