Ingredients

  • 3 c. Egg Noodle Pasta
  • 1 c. THRIVE Ground Beef (Hamburger)
  • 1/4 c. white pepper
  • 1 tsp. Iodized Salt
  • 1 tbsp. THRIVE Beef Bouillon
  • 1 tsp. THRIVE Tomato Powder
  • 2 tbsp. THRIVE Chopped Onions
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme
  • 1 c. THRIVE Mushroom Pieces - Freeze Dried
  • 1 c. Beef Slices (reconstituted)
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 2 tsp. garlic, minced
  • 1/2 c. sherry wine
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 1/2 c. heavy cream
  • 1/4 c. sour cream or THRIVE sour cream
  • 2 tbsp. Basil

Directions

  1. Cook pasta in salted water until al dente. Cool and set aside.
  2. Reconstitute ground beef by adding 1 cup warm water and stirring well. Allow to rest for 5 minutes and drain.
  3. Measure out and combine seasonings, bouillon, and tomato powder together in one bowl and onions, thyme, and mushrooms in another.
  4. In a large skillet or sauté pan, brown meat with butter and garlic on high heat until golden brown.
  5. Deglaze pan with sherry and sprinkle in bouillon mixture. After reduced by half, add thyme mixture, stirring well to incorporate.
  6. Add water and allow to simmer until reduced by half. Add cream and reduce until thickened. Add cooked pasta and toss to coat.
  7. Bring back to a simmer and fold in sour cream and basil.
