Cinnamon Pear Oatmeal

This is a quick and easy oatmeal recipe that is enjoyed at my house. You can substitute crumbled or chopped Granny Smith apple slices for the pears; however, at my house, pears are a definite favorite!

Ingredients
- 2 C Water
- 1 dash Sea Salt
- 1/2 C THRIVE Pears
- 1 C Quick Oats
- 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 1/8 C Brown Sugar or to taste
Directions
- Bring water, a dash of sea salt, and freeze-dried pears to a boil over high heat.
- Stir in 1 cup of oats. Turn heat to low. Simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in cinnamon and brown sugar (you can also substitute honey or raw sugar) and remove from heat.
- Cinnamon Pear Oatmeal will continue to thicken slightly as it cools after removing from heat. Serve with a pat of salted butter, if desired.
