Clam Chowder

A warm bowl of clam chowder on a misty autumn afternoon makes me think of times spent at the shore and just about every Friday of my youth. This clam chowder recipe uses all THRIVE ingredients (except the can of clams) and is a quick and easy way to make a single serving from a 1/2 pint jar.

Ingredients
- 1/3 C THRIVE Béchamel (Creamy White Sauce)
- 1/3 C THRIVE Potato Dices
- 1/6 C THRIVE Chopped Onions
- 1/6 C THRIVE Celery
- 1 Tbsp THRIVE Butter Powder
- 1/2 tsp Peppercorn
- 1 1/4 C Water
- 1 can Claims (6.5 oz can for single serving)
Directions
- Dry Mix
- Combine all DRY ingredients into a bag, 1/2 pint jar, or prep bowl until ready to use. If preparing a family jar, increase to a quart jar and prepare the recipe for four servings.
- Instructions
- In a small sauce pan, combine dry ingredient mix, water, and liquid from clam can. Simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat, stir in clams. Serve.
