Creamy Chicken Alfredo Skillet Meal

This recipe is so creamy and delicious! Quick, too, since most of the ingredients can be pre-assembled in quart jars for convenience at dinnertime. And only one skillet to wash!

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 C Whole Graine Penne Pasta
- 1 1/4 C THRIVE Chopped Chicken
- 1/4 C THRIVE Chopped Spinach
- 1 Tbsp THRIVE Chopped Onions
- 2 cloves Garlic, Raw (if making jar meals, use 1/2 tsp dried minced garlic)
- 1/4 C THRIVE Red Bell Peppers
- 1/4 C THRIVE Mushroom Pieces
- 3/4 C THRIVE Bechamel (Creamy White Sauce)
- 1 tsp Lemon Juice (or 1/4 tsp lemonade powder)
- 5 tsp THRIVE Chicken Bouillon
- 1/2 tsp THRIVE Chef's Choice seasoning blend
- 1 tsp THRIVE Italian Seasoning Blend
- 1 dash Cayenne
- 2 1/2 Tbsp Butter, salted
- 6 C Hot Water
- 4 oz Heavy Whipping Cream, or
- 4 oz Cream Cheese (Can be used instead of Heavy Whipping Cream, or in combination with)
- 1/2 C Parmasen Cheese, grated (More or less to taste)
- 1/4 C White Wine (optional)
Directions
- Choose a large, heavy skillet with a lid.
- Melt butter in skillet and sweat fresh Garlic. (If using dried garlic, skip this step)
- Add 6 C Hot water and all ingredients except the last 4: Heavy cream, cream cheese, Parmesan and wine.
- Cover skillet and simmer on low for 15 minutes, or until pasta is tender.
- Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan Cheese. Sauce will thicken as it cools.
- Stir in Heavy Cream and/or Cream Cheese.
- Cover and allow to set for a few minutes, till cream cheese has melted. Stir to incorporate.
- Stir in White Wine. Enjoy!
