Hearty Calzone

Ingredients
- Dough
- 1 can THRIVE Country White Dough Mix Pantry Can
- 1 pkg.2 1/4 tsp Instant Yeast
- 1 c. + 2 tbsp Warm Water
- Filling
- 1 tbsp. Garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp. Olive Oil
- 1/2 c. THRIVE Ground Beef (Hamburger) - Freeze Dried
- 1/2 c. THRIVE Tomato Sauce
- 1/2 c. THRIVE Chopped Onions - Freeze Dried
- 3/4 c. THRIVE Tomato Dices - Freeze Dried
- 1 tbsp. THRIVE Italian Seasoning Blend
- 1 can 2.25 ounce Olives
- 3/4 c. Green bell peppers, sliced
- 1/2 tsp. Red pepper flakes- optional
- 2 1/2 c. Water
- 3 c. Mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 Egg, for egg wash
Directions
- Make dough according to can directions.
- Let rise for 45 minutes or until at least double.
- For filling saute garlic in oil until caramelized.
- Add in remaining ingredients, except for cheese, olives and egg.
- Bring to a simmer and simmer until thick about 3-4 minutes.
- Add in olives and set aside until dough is done rising.
- Once dough is done rising split the dough into 6 even pieces.
- Roll each piece into a circle.
- Place 1/6 of the meat mixture onto the dough and sprinkle 1/2 cup of the cheese on top of the meat.
- Brush edges of dough with egg wash, fold dough over and pinch edges, and fold to seal
- Repeat for remaining calzones.
- Brush tops with egg wash and bake in a 375 oven for 15 minutes, or until golden brown. (Sprinkle tops with Chefs choice seasoning before baking)
