Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. White Flour (All Purpose Unbleached Flour)
  • 1/4 tsp. Paprika
  • 1/8 tsp Salt, Table
  • 1/8 tsp Black Pepper
  • 2 c. THRIVE Seasoned Chicken Slices - Freeze Dried refreshed
  • 1 c. THRIVE Peach Slices - Freeze Dried refreshed
  • 1 c. Water
  • 6 tbsp. Nonfat Powdered Milk
  • 2 c. Water
  • 2 c. Instant White Rice
  • 2 tsp. THRIVE Chopped Onions - Freeze Dried
  • 2 tsp. THRIVE Chicken Bouillon
  • 2 tsp. THRIVE Butter Powder
  • 4 c. Water
  • 1/4 c. Butter, salted
  • 1 tbsp. THRIVE Green Onions - Freeze Dried (may use as garnish or add to the sauce while cooking)

Directions

  1. Step 1: Mix flour, paprika, salt and pepper in small bowl and set aside.
  2. Step 2: Put chicken and peaches in a bowl with 1 cup water and refresh for 15 minutes.
  3. Step 3: Reconstitute milk powder and water.
  4. Step 4: Put rice, onions, chicken bouillon, butter powder and 4 cups water in a medium sized sauce pan. Bring to a boil. Simmer for 5 minutes with a lid on and then let sit while you prepare the chicken and sauce.
  5. Step 5: In another medium sauce pan, melt 1/4 cup butter over medium heat. Add the flour mixture and blend until well incorporated. Pour in reconstituted milk and then the chicken and peach mixture. Cook, stirring until sauce thickens, about 5-8 minutes.
  6. Step 6: Garnish with green onion and serve the Peach Chicken on rice with a side of your favorite vegetable or salad.
