Ingredients
- 1 tbsp. Butter
- 2 tbsp. Garlic, minced
- 1 c. THRIVE Pulled Pork - Freeze Dried
- 1/2 c THRIVE Green Chili Peppers - Freeze Dried
- 1/2 c. THRIVE Onion Slices - Freeze Dried
- 1 tsp. THRIVE Chefs Choice
- 1 tsp. Ground Cumin
- 2 c. Water
- 4 Tomatillos
- 1 c. Cilantro
- 1 c. Water
- 1/4 c. THRIVE Espagnole (Savory Beef Gravy)
- 1 tbsp. Cholula- optional
Directions
- Saute garlic in butter until slightly caramelized.
- Add in pork, chilies, onions, chefs choice, cumin, and 2 cups water. Bring to a simmer for 4-5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, place cored tomatillos, cholula and cilantro in a blender, add in 1 cup water and blend until smooth.
- Add blended mixture into pork mixture along with espagnole powder. Let simmer uncovered for 3-5 minutes, or until thickened and delicious!
- Serve over rice, wrapped in a tortilla burrito style or mixed with the rice.
- Yield: 4 cups
