Roast Beef 2 people found this helpfulI too thought the RB would be slices not tiny little dices, didn't like them at all. Would like to return the unopened can to trade for the Seasoned Chicken that I REALLY liked!!

Great for quick & easy meals 1 people found this helpfulYes, the FD roast beef is in tiny dices, but I think they do well for quick & easy meals. I have added them to pasta sauces for a different texture, and it's delicious! It's also great with a Beef & Rice dish I "cooked" up one night.
A definite keeper for long-term storage as well as every day use. -
Just ok for me 2 people found this helpfulI am really only reviewing the items that were not great for me, because I want to feed back the areas that I believe need improvement. SR stuff is top-notch in general, but a few specifics are not great.
This is one that is not great. I splurged on the fancy meat pack, thinking, I guess, that this would be slices of roast beef that would have the texture and taste of the original (like a freeze dried ice cream sandwich does).
Instead, these are tiny cubes (about 1/8") that - sadly - have the aroma of, well, dry pet food. I don't know if that's preventable (since they are both dried beef), but that's the way it is.
By itself, this isn't particularly edible... however, my wife made a beef strogonoff-type dish with egg noodles and a sauce and it was just fine in that type of dinner.
I think its the picture on the label that sets unrealistic expectations
