Yay! Just the Green Parts 0 people found this helpfulI don't usually buy whole green onions because I hate using the white part and most of them go to waste. No when I make my shrimp dip, I can use only what I need and not feel guilty about throwing the rest out. These were also a great addition to my homemade Tom Kha Gai.

Where are the white tips? 1 people found this helpfulI was so excited to get these, and then when I opened the can, I only see the green part! I should have looked at the pic more closely. Disappointed. It's the white parts that are the most flavorful and what most recipes call for. Why can't Thrive do freeze dried green onions - the White Part?

When I opened the can I was suprised to see 100 percent green product.
There were no white tips of the onion, just the green stems. The green stems do not produce a strong flavor like I love from the white parts of the green onion.
It was not what I anticipated.

One of the first to try this! 1 people found this helpfulI just got back from the Seattle Super Saturday and am super excited to have tried the Green Onions! Chef Todd used them in a great bean dip and in a Hot and Sour Soup ( the recipe will be on the #10 cans). The flavor of the onions popped. We got a free can to take home with us. Use this product anywhere you would use fresh green onions! Great addition Shelf Reliance!
