Wonderful 1 people found this helpfulWe used the sausage crumbles at a party...everyone was very impressed how well they tasted. They even passed a cup around straight out of the can to snack on. This is a definite staple in our pantry!

Great Addition 0 people found this helpfulone of the best things about thrive is having something "on hand". These are awesome to throw into many recipes. The best thing about this product is "I don't have to fry the sausage before adding it into a recipe that calls for sausage. I simple take my scooper and grab what I need. I thru together a quiche tonight with the following thrive items. sausage, green chili's, monterey jack cheese and the choppped spinach. I did use fresh eggs LOL. But I'm wondering if I could have pulled it off with the thrive eggs which are awesome too.

So Easy, So Fast, So Good! 1 people found this helpfulThis was my first time to cook with freeze dried meat of any kind.
I made two homemade pizzas tonight. One was topped with sausage crumbles, and the other was just cheese. My family devoured the sausage pizza, while the cheese will be left overs.
What a great way to rotate and incorporate food storage into my daily cooking! No greasy, messy clean-up in my kitchen. Lots of compliments from my family. Totally worth the price.
I am impressed.

Really surprised! 1 people found this helpfulThis was my first experience with FD meat, I'd expected it to be super lean and weird... Not at all! It's just like regular breakfast sausage! Wow! I like to reconstitute and brown it in one pan- I don't really measure the water, but I put the sausage and water in a nonstick pan, then simmer until the water evaporates. Some of the fat comes out of the sausage, and you can toss it around and brown it just like fresh. It gets nice and crispy, too!

Deliciously easy! 1 people found this helpfulWe love these in the 10 grain pancake mix. Love the ease of just rehydrating and adding to a dish, no greasy mess to clean up! We have had them on homemade pizza, in omlettes, straight out of the can. Next time I make spaghetti, this is a must have ingredient.
