Risked it all and wasn't disapointed 1 people found this helpfulWas planning dinner for a group and ran out of broccoli for my sesame pork, I would never dream of using anything but fresh broccoli or at least frozen broccoli to be sautéed with the pork but desperate times called for desperate measures. I just had received my first can of self reliance freeze dried broccoli a few days before, so I bravely tried it. At dinner I got rave reviews and no one knew I hadn't used fresh broccoli.
I am a food storage veteran and never would have considered using my old style dried vegetable food storage in anything but soups, stews and casseroles but I have changed my tune, and this is going to be my little secret in my kitchen from now on. -

Great in omeletes 0 people found this helpfulI re-hydrated some of this and used it in an omelet with cheddar cheese and cubed ham. Delicious! It is also great eaten re-hydrated out of the can without cooking it in anything.
