great for baking! 0 people found this helpfulAdded the powder to my recipe and it works! Also rehydrated to use on the pan when I made pancakes--it worked too!
When rehydrated it has the consistency of heavy cream -- can add more to make it thicker, though I haven't been able to figure out how to harden it up (stays liquid). I don't know that I would use it alone on bread, but it works great in recipes! -
Movie Theater Buttered Popcorn without the mess 0 people found this helpfulHad a can of this we needed to use, so started thinking about various options and just happened to try sprinkling the powder onto freshly made popcorn. I'm not sure my family would have it any other way now and we all agree the taste is like hot, buttered popcorn at the movies, but because we're using the powder, you don't end up with the greasy mess all over. Reconstituted, it's better than any other butter we have tried. When I bake bread or rolls, my family really prefers the Thrive butter.

Fabulous for plain ol' eatin'! 0 people found this helpfulOur family of seniors, "somethings," teens, and babies are crazy about the butter powder reconstituted. We eat it "au natural." Haven't tried in a recipe yet. I mean it, my Land O' ...days may be over! Daughter-in- Law did a taste test with a former butter powder brand we had in storage for "That BIG Catastrophic Event". Ang said her family of seven can no longer bring themselves to eat the previous brand "straight up," will try to use in recipes so as not to waste.

OK for baking 0 people found this helpfulOpened a can to try with baking for chocolate chip cookies etc along with the powdered eggs. The items are more dense than with traditional ingredients but the kids ate them up! Have extra chocolate chips on hand to make up the difference!
